A new and upcoming artist named Sour Cherry is currently putting her all into becoming a successful recording star. The 19 year old, originally from Sheffield describes herself as a ‘singer, songwriter who writes about pretty much anything that comes from my brain.’
Sour Cherry’s music is pure, un-apologetic pop. When listening to her, the artists that spring to mind are Lily Allen, Kate Nash and even a bit of Katy Perry! This girl is absolutely brilliant and definitely worth a listen to!
She currently is at number 68 on the reverbnation chart. To find out some more about her and to listen to her songs, why not click the link below:

The King of R&B is back. And ‘OMG’ did he put on a show.
o2 Arena, 2nd February 2011
For the first time in six years, R&B superstar Usher returned to the UK for what was initially supposed to be a seven date tour. I say ‘initially’ because sell out dates prompted a huge surge in ticket prices and a hysteria not seen since The Beatles were together (a slight exaggeration perhaps). Thus, more dates were added to his OMG Tour, making Mr Usher Raymond a very popular man.
After what could be described as a lacklustre performance at the X Factor, where he allegedly mimed, fans were left wondering whether they were better off listening to his music on MTV rather than standing in a packed arena surrounded by thousands of drunk, sweaty people.
There was speculation surrounding who was going to be his opening act. Artists like Tinie Tempa, Tinchy Stryder and Trey Songz and even J Cole were all rumoured to be touring with man of the moment Usher.
Disappointingly, it was home-grown rapper Tinchy who was given the coveted spot. Singing his new song Let It Rain and some of his older tracks, his attempts to whip the crowd into a frenzy were slightly in vain. To put it bluntly, a lot of the fans simply weren’t interested and some even used his stage time to grab a quick bite.
Once his performance was over the crowd were growing restless and they were rewarded when a loud bang erupted from stage. Amid smoke, flashing lights and fireworks, dancers emerged and put on an explosive, militaristic routine. Their fancy and nimble footwork was exciting to watch and was a perfect start to what would become an electric concert.
Moments later, Usher was catapulted to the centre of the stage mid-dance and was received to a chorus of cheers. Singing Monstar from album Raymond v. Raymond, he tantalised fans with nifty moves and strong vocals which proved he CAN sing live. The crowd was in for a real treat as he belted out some his first hits like You Make Me Wanna and My Boo.
Interacting with the audience, he proved a real charmer and got every female hot under the collar when he whipped his top off to reveal his wash board abs. The singer almost caused a stampede when he threw his sweat drenched vest in to the ecstatic crowd.
Paying homage to the late Michael Jackson, he adorned sparkly trainers and performed the iconic moonwalk and the fans went bonkers. Proving that he has a sense of humour too, Usher put on a tongue in cheek performance of hit single U Remind Me much to the crowds delight and the arena echoed with thousands of voices singing along.
The heat was turned up when one lucky girl was handpicked from the audience by the man himself to go on stage and take part in an almost x-rated routine with him for single Trading Places. Thousands of envious eyes were on her as she made her way to him but Usher was probably extra careful this time as footage emerged online of him being kicked in the face by an eager fan when he performed the same routine at Madison Square Gardens!
Singing recent hits like Love In This Club, DJ Got Us Falling In Love and More, he did not disappoint and the visually spectacular display of lights, props, dancing and the whole shebang proved that he gave every single fan their money’s worth. Finishing off with the hugely successful track OMG, he ended the night in extravagance and over the top style and the ever polite singer thanked his dancers, fans and everyone else involved. The night was hugely successful and an unforgettable experience.
Usher will be performing at the Sheffield Motorpoint Arena on 23rd February 2011. For more information and tickets, use trusted websites like Ticketmaster and Viagogo.
